Editing Forest Scenes

Initially, during production itself, I came to the decision that there was no need to alter the footage. However, when loaded upon iMovie, it became clear that the footage could very much benitfit, from the use of brighter colours and altering contrast. In order for the greenery upon the trees and the red of the apples to really stand out, I added the maximum about of saturation. The original footage taken was bleak, but with the increase of saturation and contrast, the footage became more defined, yet brighter in appearence.

I had decided earlier on, before the production itself took place, that the entering and exiting of the world was transitioned with a white fade. However, I wanted to do a similar effect when the two characters become the golden dolls. Recalling the day of the production, I had instructed my actress to show the the facial expressions of being confused as she felt odd as she began to change. Thinking about this, I splitted the shot of Midas' finger touching her head. With this I used a blur effect upon the scene, emphasising her conscious mind slipping. To add to this and make the transformation complete, from the shot of the two characters to the golden dolls, I added a blur transition. The same transition was applied to when they transform back individually.
